Well, I had a similar problem. One day after usual rebooting I lost one partition too.
I used Disk Director Suite to recover it ('Recover Partition' option). It restored absolutely the same partition that I've lost. And as I understand this situation is a standard problem to solve for DDS. Frankly now I use it quite for other purpose such as usual partitioning.

right click my computer > manage > disk manager ... does the partition show there?

Thanks Dsenette! did what you advised: went to my computer, manage, disk management and saw the missing partiton there! Many thanks indeed!!!! geekstogo is really very helpful site. more power to this site!!!!

could you post a screen shot of disk manager? or did y ou fix the partition to be shown in wndows?
