The Agfa 1212p snapscan scanner cannot be run under Win XP according to the manufacturer. The scanner was discontinued, running it with the orginal software on XP leads to horrible freeze-ups. I know that for a fact. However, there are several sources on the web that speak of patches for the 1212p that make it possible to use the 1212p with XP. Before putting myself through days worth of unfreezing my computer, does anyone have reliable information on this patch, does it really work, or should I just throw out the scanner and get a new one? Who said computers were to simplify life?
