well as i accidently uninstalled something i did system restore to get the program back, this worked normally and it restarted to the login page, however after this it just stays on nothing with just the desktop wallpaper.. left my comp for 10 minutes and still nothing

there is no start bar or ANYTHING and i can only access things from program files etc and only by using the task manager (ctrl+alt+delete)

if some1 knows a way round this u dont know how grateful i am

If you can, and the Start menu and all is there, undo the restoration you did and see if everything comes back.

Also, do you remember what you accidentally uninstalled?

Doing a restore also UNinstalls whatever programs you installed since that day. Apparently something critical was installed after that restore day, and was removed by going back to it. You may have to just reinstall Call of Duty from the CD.

How's the Safe Mode coming? Is the start menu and everything there?

So everything is back to normal again, correct?
