HI, whenever I restart or shutdown my computer the END PROGRAM box pops up stating "explorer.exe is not responding". How do I fix this problem?? It even happens when I havent opened any applications! What should I do?

i'm not too sure but the explorer.exe is the startmenus and the icons...

Explorer.exe is basically your windows desktop. Get your XP install disk and repair XP. Either somethings missing or corrupt and needs to be added/repaired. Before you do that make sure you backup all the files you want to keep.
