can you isolate when it does occur...ie, logging on to messenger? Logging off? Sporadically?

ok, i found the reason behind it now. The error happens all the time when i open my outlook express...

Reason i said its during process of msn was probably becos i have it on all the time, and surfing net, checking email. Never incurred to me it would be outlook express

that's why I asked earlier

download the following file, extract it from the zip, double click and say yes to merge

This will turn off Outlook Express MsMessnger integration
