Yesterday I could go online, today I can't.
I do not know why.
I did not install any programs.
AVG discovered no viruses.

Can someone help me out?

downloaded the program.
It starts and mentions 'dial up'.
I stopped at that point.
I have 'DSL'.
The box with the issue is linked to a 'DSL' modem.

I apologize for not mentioning that.
Should I continue with the program?

I have run this with broadband, it is going to rebuild the network files so you will need the 98 CD

If you have the ISP details, make a new connection, if it runs delete the existing one, if no change, delete the new one

You could re-install the modem software
