Hi,

I´we been encounting a strange problem the last few days.... which is really annoying. Sometimes "the computer or program" doesn´t register a mouseclick so I have to click one or more times extra. For example, if I want to click on a link or on a icon on the desktop, I have to click up to three times before it opens the link or selects the item on the desktop. This doesn´t happen all the time.. but maybe after 20-30 "clicks" (that works as usual). It´s like if the computer was busy loading something at that time.

I didn´t have this problem just a week ago. It appeard when I started to remove popups and malware I´we been having problems with. I also installed Microsoft Antispyware during that week, (if that could have something to do with it?)

Please help me if you know anything about this problem.

Thanks!

let's try the easy one first

start > run
devmgmt.msc
<enter>

find your mouse, right click, choose uninstall

reboot...windows will redetect...if your PC stops at a log on screen rather than going straight in, use the TAB key to select your user account

Hi Gerry,

I uninstalled the mouse and rebooted.. but it didn´t help. The strange thing is that sometimes when I turn the computer on, the mouse works perfectly during the whole day. Then it doesn´t work correctly the next day.
