I have this external hard drive plug n play. I use to plug it in now and it would open up - Now light on it turns green and at the bottom of my screen it say's the device not working properly then it say's something about the installtion but it's a plug in play any idea ??? :tazz:

does the external drive have it's own power switch on it? if so....shut down your compuoter..THEN turn off the drive...now start up your computer with the drive still plugged in...wait for windows to fully load...then turn the drive back on...does it work now?
