The new RSOD
Are you sick of the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death)? Well, get ready for the RSOD, a new feature of the Longhorn. Word of the new Red Screen of Death has been floating around the Internet for some time now. From what I can tell, it doesn't completely replace the Blue Screen for all STOP errors - just the really bad ones (I've still been able to generate a BSOD in Longhorn). I'm sure we'll be seeing more of this one as time goes on...

apparently RSODs will be for boot loader errors and what not....probably gonna help us tech guys out alot in narrowing down some of this stuff

hmm ... i dunno ... sounds like if BSOD isn't bad enought now we have a RSOD also to fix. From what i read it sounds like it will have both error screens, color just indecating wich one is worse.

right...bsods will be the same as they have been...being critical system stops within windows...the RSODs (at least by what i'm reading) will only apply to boot errors...like stuff wrong with the MBR or boot loader and what not
