Kanotix + knoppix problem's Memory problem

I have problem's with knoppix and kanotix.
On knoppix, i get a error that there is no memory space. But I have 1024 mb space, How can linux need more. :tazz:
On my other computer workes kanotix + knoppix. (512 mb space)

Please help! :)
