Yes, but it depends on how comfortable you are editing the registry
How comfortable are you?

Hi there babyloniantg.
Goto >Start >Run then type in "Regedit". Look for the key name:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
When you look through these keys tell me if you see a blank key (folder) look inside the folder and let me know what is inside.
Note: Look through both keys (Folders) above
Cool

Thank you for the help. I looked at both keys. In the first one I wasn't able to find the Uninstall folder. In other words I stopped at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\, then in the next key I found the Uninstall folder, but there were no blank folders in it. Any ideas?

Here's a little tool that will make it easier
http://www.nirsoft.n...s/myuninst.html
Download is at the bottom of the page
This program removes items from the list, it does not uninstall programs
Odds are, the program entry is a left over, but see if you can identify the program and take a screen shot using the above utility and perhaps we can tell you more

Thanks gerryf! I used the tool you told me about. I compared both lists by putting them in alphabetical order and discovered that the huge blank entry in my Add or Remove Program corresponded to a program I had recently installed. I uninstalled it through the tool and my list returned back to normal. Just one comment, the list in myuninst also includes some programs not found in the Add or Remove programs, all of which start with a small m followed by something else (ie mIWA, mMgr, mZConfig). They all supposedly come from Intel Corporation, but they look a little strange. Are they legitimate?
