I have the same problem as Sugai, described in

HiJack was downloaded, but I didn´t understand where´s the problem. I know that is in the start menu, but what´s to do?
:)
Thanks.

Hello MFEdu...

Did you download the Norton installation files, or do you have the cd? Usually, completely uninstalling the Norton application, re-registering the installer, and reinstalling Norton will resolve this issue.

Uninstall the Norton using Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel beginning with the main application. Then download and run SymClean to remove the bits that get left behind.

Post a HJT log here for us and we'll make sure the Norton is gone.

Once the Norton is off the machine...

Click Start, then Run, and type msiexec /unregister...Click "OK".

Click Start, then Run, and type msiexec /regserver...Click "OK".

Reinstall your Norton program.

Let us know how it goes....

I think uninstall Norton is out of the question, because I had 5 licenses to use it, and I use them. If I uninstall it, probably Cd won´t work.

You purchased the license when you purchased the cd...Symantec must honor the license.

Open the Norton application, click on "Help and Support" (upper right corner), then on "About Norton Internet Security". In the resulting window, click on the "Internet Security" tab. Write down all the numbers in this window.

Your options are:

Follow the instructions found HERE.

Or uninstall and reinstall Norton as suggested in post #2.

Thank you wannabe1

I tried a little bit thing, and I believe that all it´s right now.
When installed, NIS goes to start menu, programs.
I changed, put it in start menu, programs, security (together with other programs).
This cause the problem.
I restored to the original place, and is ok.

Thanks again.
Bye.
