I tried to use Microsoft Backupu utility in order to save my data to a DVD-RW drive. It doesn't allow me to use the media and states to look at the path or access. The computer is brand new and I am using new CD-R media. Can anyone help me with this problem? Any other good backup utilities that you suggest?

No, I just bought this laptop from Dell and it did not come with any software. I have found out that u cannot backup any data to a cd or dvd. U can only back it up unto another disk drive.

most dell's are shipping with Sonic's Record Now software:

http://www.sonic.com...e/features.aspx

it has the feature you are looking for to backup to cdrw

I also recomend Nero

there is also this software: http://www.willowsof...ckup/index.html
don't know much about it, but it has a decent review.
