I hope someone can help me speed up my boot up times, After installing a new printer, itunes etc, i have gained lots of seemingly unnescessary programs booting up only to wait unwanted in the background. Can I tell them not to start until needed. I would be grateful for any help with this problem :tazz:

Click start then run, type msconfig then press enter then press start up, remove the ticks for any unwanted programmes, click apply, reboot, tick do not start the configuration utility when windows loads, as it gets to the desktop

Reverse this to undo any change which is detrimental

Make sure the firewall, anti virus and any anti spyware programmes still load
