turn the machine off...open up the case...there should be some "circuit boards" that look l ike this

Two of those................ boy ! was it dusty in there, gave it a bit of a spring clean :tazz:

hehe...you know...that dust may have something do do with it as well..how did you clean the dust? i suggest that at some point you go to the store and get some canned air and blow all the dust out...of everywhere...

for now.....with the machine off...and your hand touching the case...take one of the two sticks out.(the one furthest from the processor first)....now...start the computer up..and see if you can complete a scan...if you can/cannot turn the machine off...hold the case with one hand...and switch the stick that's in there...with the one you took out....start it up...try a scan.... let me know what happens

Since removing the DUST :) (with the vacume cleaner, :) ) every thing is running normal. :) :) :)

The air blower is on the shopping list :)
