Hi, I've heard I can get help here... my problem is that limewire keeps opening itself. I close it and then a couple of mins (sometimes seconds!) later, it opens again. I can't do control, alt, delete either! Can anyone help. here's what hijackthis has to say for itself

anyone got a solution rather than just uninstalling limewire. I've had limewire working fine for ages and I think i must have downloaded something last night which has messed it up.

OK, I see something there actually...

Not sure where you got infected, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility that you got infected through Limewire itself...

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should 'not' have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Download Brute Force Uninstaller http://www.merijn.org/files/bfu.zip and unzip it to it’s own folder (c:\BFU).

Run the program and click the Web button located on the top right corner.

Copy and paste the below web address into the address bar of the Download script window:

Checkmark the following boxes:
Use settings specified in script for the above option.
Show log after script ends.
Execute the script by clicking the Execute button.

When it finishes running, click the Save button for a copy of the log. Post the log created by the script when you have completed the fix.
