Deleting Search Cache on Windows XP

OK, you know in Start>Search, if you type things in they get saved...I think it's called a cache and I typed in something embarrassing and need to delete it...it's like in google if you searched for "cars" in the past the search box thing drops down and shows all the searches that start with "c" that you've done once you've typed the letter "c". So now it's on the Start>Search thing and I need to delete it...HOW?!?!
Someone, please help!

shutdown the computer and then restart
