trying to clean a hard drive using the cd drive and format c:
but it says that the drive doesn't exist ????

any ideas anyone ?

dban....http://dban.sourceforge.net/ make a bootable cd of this....and it will wipe the drive completely...

managed to wipe the hard drive thank you .
but when i try to reformat to reinstall windows , it says that c: isn't large enough.
i tried fdisk , and recreate the partition but no joy on format ???

any ideas ?

windows 98 SE.
however i cannot get the hard drive to format, either from the 98SE disk or an auxillary program.
