hey,

i have quicktime 7.0(the latest one) and it doesnt play AVI!

how do i get quicktime to play avi files?

is there a driver or codec i can download?

quicktime has never played avi files. you need the divX plugin. a quick google turns it up for the mac

you dont really need the divX player, just the codec will be fine, I believe you get the option during installation to install just the codec or also the player.

I can't find the free version on this site, I know there's a free one for windows.. you might have to look around a bit more.

yes i got the app you told me to get and now the video plays but with NO sound
