It started a few weeks ago when I wanted to watch an episode of The Office that I downloaded. I had just watched THIS particular episode before now and everything was perfect. For some reason now the picture for this and the other videos that I already have on my computer come out way to dark on the screen. When I turn the brightness or the contrast up everything gets red and blurry and I can't see anything.

Why is it all weird now? Would I be able to just reset or reinstall the entire program?

You could try reinstalling Media player, reinstalling/updating the video codecs etc.

To reinstall WMP just download the latest version of it from the Microsoft website and install it.
To update your codecs download something like the K-Lite codec pack.

You could also try a different player such as VLC Media Player.

Neither options worked... the other player and Quicktime both made my videos come out too dark. Maybe its my computer? u guys have any idea why it would suddenly mess up my video players?

Ok... forget the last post. Yeah I updated my codecs for the Windows media player, but it seems to make the videos way to dark for all of the video players. Even the ones I have just recently downloaded.

Hello Xantos89,

Let's collect more information about your computer:

Download and run WinAudit. Save the audit to your desktop. This will save three files. Take all three files and put them into a single zip (compressed) folder. Name the folder WinAudit. Attach it to your next post.
