Running fixmbr again generates the same warning message.

this thing got a floppy?

Get a winme bootdisk and run fdisk, then use it to display partition information

(don't make any changes)

Maybe we're barking up the wrong tree...maybe Windows just does not know what to do with the partition that is in a format it cannot see.
