Microsoft Classic Solitaire

I have a Compaq Presario 5000US. I'm running ME.
The computer came with the Microsoft Classic Solitaire. When the Solitaire "game board" comes up it appears all the cards are stacked face down on the spaces where you play the ACEs. Nothing works. You can click on DEAL, DECK or whatever and nothing will happen. How can I correct this?
