I cannot find my msmsgs.exe file and don't know how to replace it. I need it to open a file to restore my mci sound driver, please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try this, go to the Run box on the Start Menu and type in:

sfc /scannow

P.S. msmsgs.exe is the Microsoft Messenger program. Strange that it would be required for a sound driver. <_<
