To Manually Install the Backup Utility

Insert the CD Rom and navigate to CD-ROM Drive:\VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP

Double-click the Ntbackup.msi file to start the wizard that installs Backup

When the wizard is complete, click Finish.

Hi Keith
Thanks for reply. XP was preloaded at the store---I have no XP CD to insert. All I have is a recovery disc--
I asked them for the XP CD when I bought this Sony computer and they ignored my request.
Am I able to use the Recovery Disc to find these files-? If so, how do I do this.
Thanks for your trouble

You can insert it and look for the same folder, (recovery discs differ)

You can borrow an XP Home CD and use that
