Hi, again, Tom,
Ok, so since the Nero was giving me an error, I decided to try to Cyberlink Power2Go trial. I burned and successfully verified the disc, only to find afterwards that Windows XP doesn't support UDF 2.50, so I couldn't read the disc. It wouldn't do me any good to try another OS, since I need this disc to be usable by others, and can't expect everyone to abandon XP.
I am wondering, anyway, if Bob is barking up the right tree on this UDF business. The reason I question it is, if there were only an issue with the burning, then WHY do the properties summaries disappear when I try to zip and unzip the folder, and also when I try to email the file, yet I can copy and paste the file and the properties remain? Perhaps you know someone else on your end who can answer this?
Thanks so much for your efforts,
Obsessed (now more than ever -- with trying to solve this!)

The latest in the saga of frustrating exchange between me and Bob. I have no idea what he is talking about, and his CLUES are INDIGESTIBLE.

Hey obsessed,

Google is great for error messages to see what people have said about certain ones. This one seems to relate to not having enough free memory and people have been able to fix it by manually increasing their windows swap file. I will put the link to the forum post where I read this info and how to change swap file size.

Forum article:
http://club.cdfreaks...ad.php?t=164653

Swap file changing:
To increase your swap file (in Win XP):
Right-click on desktop --> properties --> advanced --> performances --> advanced --> modify --> select 2x your RAM size (so if you have 256Mb, pick 512Mb).

Sounds as if this has fixed the problem for many people. Let me know if any luck.

Cheers,
Tom

I updated my Nero, and thought I was all set to go, I had it set to udf 2.50... I click BURN and get an error message that says "Error: Cannot connect TRF." I have never encountered this one before. Any ideas?

Yes, Bob knows a lot about a lot, but to extract DIRECT information from him is like trying to extract all 4 wisdom teeth simultaneously with a crowbar from behind! :tazz:

I'll keep it for future reference, but since this didn't happen before I updated the Nero, and I have subsequently found (did you see my later posts?) that the UDF 2.50 is unreadable in Windows XP, I'll let this one go for now. Any ideas on what else to try for keeping the properties intact?
