i recently got a Acer 19'inch widescreen lcd monitor which replacing my old 17'inch samsung flat screen

when i first got it, it was working perfectly. the max resolution was 1400 x 900. so i setted to that. and my games work perfectly fine with 1400x900. but after that day that i got my new monitor, when start up my computer, it goes back to 1280 x 1024. i was like ok, its nothing, i can fix it. i went to display properties. and it only goes to 1280 x 1024 max. it was odd. so i went to my v-card settings and set it up by there. but for some odd reason it goes over 1400 x 900 (which was the max resolution). after that my games resolutions (Counter-strike, CS:S) went to 800 x 600. and also goes to 1280 x 900 max (or some sort). yes i did put it to wide screen settings. its also same happen to cs:s. my monitor ratio is 16:10.

i donno what happen. its very odd...

EDIT - i think this pose to go to the game section.. im not really sure, if i posted the wrong section, sorry!
