Advent laptop wont play DVDs!

:tazz: Advent 7340 DVD laptop wont play DVDs, This machine uses ALI MPEG Decoder M3309. I believe there is an inherent problem with these machines. can anyone shed any light please?

Try reinstalling drivers/codecs. Can it play CD's?

there are no drivers for it only 98 dirvers and they dont work :tazz:

are there any drivers for xp out there ?
