Hey, this is my first post on these forums so let me know what I do wrong, because there is sure to be something ^_^

Ok, this all started when I had just Win 98 on my system. I had had major problems with spyware before but managed to clean my system (I thought) and started using Firefox. After that I had no more spyware problems. One day I was messing around on the computer and saw a couple of excecutable files sitting on my C Drive that I didn't remeber ever installing. I double clicked on them (yes stupid I know, buts thats my personality for ya) and Spybot went berserk telling me that a couple of known spyware programs were trying to change my registries. I had Spybot abort the changes and went back to look at my C Drive. I moved the excecutable files to the recycle bin, along with a bunch of other hidden files that I thought had appered on the C Drive at the same time. Next time I reboot there is no responce from the hard drive, it refuses to boot. Can't boot drom a CD-ROM and I cant find a boot-floppy yet (though I am tearing my house apart looking for one). Because Windows wasn't working I decided to install Linux and got Mandrake 10.1 to dual boot with windows. Now I can view the files in Windows though Mandrake but cant restore the files in my recycling bin so that Windows will work again. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Professor_M

Yeah well... this forum has been of no help whatsoever. My local gaming forum not only replied but gave me a link to a page that solved my problem.
