Dont get the x1600xt its not any faster than 22 Gb/s memory bandwidth. It also only has 128 bit interface which sux. Get an nvidia 6800gs instead if you live in the usa. If you live in the UK look at an x800gto or above.

6800gs has 32 gb/s memory bandwidth and is only 2% slower than a 6800gt would be but its only $180 in the usa.

Yeah the 1600 is the newer version of the x600 the not a gamer but i need something better than integrated type of card. Gamers card you are looking for something with more clout. Also might want to get a mobo other than Asus they arent worth the risk.

Everything looks good to me. The corsair valueselect is all you need for a gaming pc. If you ever want to overclock as we said before then choose the Corsair xms ram. They have many choices of it but I would stick with the valueselect if I were you.

Thats a great deal especially with a monitor included. If you didnt have to buy a monitor that would save you even more. Great deal.

Edit

make shure you have an operating system. Just reminding you.

Its not hard at all. After you install all the hardware onto the motherboard and are ready, you just pop in the cd and it will goto a menu and you just format the harddrive then follow the instructions and install the os. Xp is the easiest os to install. You might need to insert a floppy disk to setup your serial ata harddrives for raid. Thats for if you have 2 harddrives and want to use raid. On my motherboard I didnt have to use a floppy disk at all as I have one serial ata harddrive and a secondary ide. Its all in the setup.. very easy.

insert cd follow instructions, just format harddrive and setup ntfs file system.

then hit F8 to say "i agree" then it will proceed to install...

Alot easier if you just read the menus.
