After my last reinstall of xp pro, I had yellow flags in the device manager for a multiport and also serial. On previous install serial and parport were yellow flagged. I uninstalled multiport and serial. Now they are gone. Parport does not show at all on this install. Windows does not inform me of devices needing install. They are no longer accessible through device manager. I don't Know what to do to get comport 4 (and probably 2) back. ????? Thanx.

sounds like you may be missing the system chipset drivers after the install....did you install these from the motherboard cd?

Hmm. No such beast. I have only a recovery cd from Toshiba. I just installed intels chip support utility but only com port 3 shows up in a com port tool. I can't find any ports in the device manager.
