I heard this site was good so hopefully you can help me with this problem.
Recently, every time I boot into windows my AVG (full version) flashes a "Fire wall changed to allow all, gaming mode disabled" message, which I see basically means the firewall is disabled, I change it back to "standalone computer, gaming mode enabled" but on the next boot up, it changes back to "allow all".
This has happened since I downloaded a free trail of some software and got a virus as soon as I ran it, the virus was moved to the vault (which I stupidly emptied without making a note of what the virus was) and I have scanned all drives since and they are apparently clean. Could the virus still be lurking somewhere and be disabling my firewall on boot up?
Any answers/advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
