1st you will have to have your friends connect to your IP address. It can sometimes take a while for the master list to update with your server info.

2nd if you have a router, then you need to place your pc in the "dmz" zone through the router settings.

3rd: launch cod:uo mulitplayer. click on start server. give your server a unique name, select the game type you want, then for dedicated select internet.

4: add maps that you want to play.

5: launch game.

Runing a server for call of duty is simple
understanding how it all works its a nother story!
if you start your server and it is not seen on the internet that only means one think......your ip is not visible to internet!!!!!
if you have a router the problem should be there by opening some ports and anabeling the DMZ you can make people to recive info. trough those ports otherwise they cant!!!!!!!!!

if you have alrady done so.... it can mean that you didnt do it write or its just your isp thats blocking you to set the server up by not letting you open ports!!!!
if your isp is blocking the server you can call them and ask them to undo the block but they probably wount so in that case forget your server and join a nother one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if you dont know how to configure your router you have all the help you need here at http://www.portforward.com/

any problems post and i`ll rtespond

your welcome!
