Hi lets see what I can do

But first download this Programme to your desktop, right click and select install, nothing will appear to happen it will just do its job

Then

Download kill from here

  • Double click on Kill to run it.
  • Choose from the menu "File" => "Standard scripts " and mark the "Healing/Quarantine and Advanced System Analysis" check box.
    Posted Image
  • Click on the “Execute selected scripts”.
  • Automatic scanning, healing and system check will be executed.
  • A logfile (avz_sysinfo.htm) will be created and saved in the LOG folder in the AVZ directory as virusinfo_syscure.zip.
  • It is necessary to reboot your machine, because AVZ might disturb some program operations (like antiviruses and firewall) during the system scan.
  • All applications will work properly after the system restart.

When restarted

  • Start Kill.
  • Choose from the menu "File" => "Standard scripts " and mark the “Advanced System Analysis" check box.
    Posted Image
  • Click on the "Execute selected scripts".
  • A system check will be automatically performed, and the created logfile (avz_sysinfo.htm) will be saved in the LOG folder in the AVZ directory as virusinfo_syscheck.zip.

Attach both virusinfo_syscure.zip and virusinfo_syscheck.zip to your next post

To attach a file, do the following:

  • Browse for the attachment file you want to upload, then click the green Upload button
  • Once it has uploaded, click the Manage Current Attachments drop down box

Hi Essexboy
sorry but your first link does not take me into a download site for the program you say!!! Over and above that even if I get a program the OP system wont let me install anything to desk top or if it does it wont let me run anything, any programs for trojan removal I have already on the Pc is not picking up any problems that is why I am stumped.... and don't know where to go from here.

Thank You for your reply John

Where there is a will there is a way - lets try a registry fix next

[attachment=33189:xp_exe_fix.zip]

Download this zip file to your desktop and extract the registry file
Right click and select merge

Then tryAVZ/kill again

What we have here is a new pice of malware I believe, so it may take a while to figure it out. I have two programmes to try. After the first one try to run Win32ksys. If that fails then you will need to burn the second programme to disc and use it outside of windows

Download exefix_xp.com utility and save to Desktop. Double-click the file to run it. This utility fixes the exefile association in the registry automatically.

If that fails to do the trick then

This is a full blown operating sytem and includes a browser for going on line. It runs from the CD and is not installed on your hard drive

OK then two programmes to download

FIRST

ISOBurner this will allow you to burn Dr Web ISO to a cd and make it bootable. Just install the programme, from there on in it is fairly automatic. Instructions

SECOND

Dr Web Live CD Download this and using ISOBurner burn to CD. Usage instructions are here

Having made the bootable CD set your system to boot from CD - Do you know how to do this ?
Or you could follow the steps on this page and continue through to step 7

Once Dr Web starts select Dr.Web LiveCD (Default)

When the system is loaded, check disks or folders you want to scan and press Start

If the operating system failed to configure access to your network, you can do it manually using Networks Configure Manager. Start->Settings->Networks Configure manager. This will enable you to get online if needed

Is that ISOBurner that cannot find the file ?

Did you download the Dr Web ISO

A suggestion is to try and run combofix - but differently.

Download Combofix from any of the links below and save it to your desktop. You must rename it to winlogon.exe before saving it.

Double click on winlogon.exe & follow the prompts.
  • When finished, it will produce a report for you.
  • Please post the C:\ComboFix.txt log so we can continue cleaning the system.

Lets see if it blocks screensavers :)

Download DDS from one of the following locations and save it to your desktop:

Link 1
Link 2

Note. If your first download does not work, please delete the downloaded file, then download again from the next link and try again.

Disable any script blocking software, and then double click dds.scr to run the tool.
  • When done, DDS will open two logs:
    • DDS.txt
    • Attach.txt
  • Save both reports to your desktop.

Please include the contents of the following in your next reply:
