I have used the "Do this first" from above and have cleaned and cleaned but still cannot stop the Popups. Plus my services.exe is spiking at 99 a lot, bringing me to have a very, very usless Laptop.

Have used SpyBot, Ad-aware 6.0, CClearner, Cleanup, Ewido all the latest updates.

Thanks for any help on this issue. Now my logs for you to have a look.

HJT Log.

First thank you for getting to this as fast as you did.

After runing the Look2Me that you had me link to it would not work after selecting to run as Task, waited five mins and nothing so I ran another program I got from here called l2Mfix and since then no popups at all. Here are the logs for you.

I would suggest the removal of a couple programs,
You can read some info on Noadware on the following page,
http://www.spywarewa...e.htm#de-listed
I know it says its delisted but I m not comfortable letting you move on without at least letting you read for yourself and atleast understanding the type of program it was/is

Also P2P programs such as LimeWire are breeding grounds for malware, I recommend the removal of that as well,

The decision is yours as to whether you remove or keep them,

You can do so by going to Add/Remove programs and removing
LimeWire PRO 4.9.4
NoAdware v4.0

again the choice is your,

Anyway
Nice job your log is clean !
How is it running ?
Please use the following suggestion to help prevent reinfection

Download the following program, For keeping crap off your system to begin with
Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests. Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox. Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.
Download Spyware Blaster

Keep AD-Aware. and Spybot 1.4 handy, Check them for updates prior to running and run them weekly
Same with your Anti Virus,

For an added check run an online virus scan, you can use one of the 2 below,
TrendMicro's HouseCall
ActiveScan

Be sure and give the Temp folders a cleaning out now and then as well, A handy tool to do this
Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
If you use Firefox browserClick Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
If you use Opera browserClick Opera at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
For Technical Support, double-click the e-mail address located at the bottom of each menu.

Remeber to Check Windows for updates

Probably a good time to create a new restore point See Here for XP

See Here for ME Name it clean or something like that,

To learn more about how to protect yourself while on the internet read this article by Tony Klien: So how did I get infected in the first place?

Thank you ever so much for the great help. I have kept all of the programs that we have used, and to be sure will get rid of those two programs as soon as I post this.

Thanks again,

Doug
