I am working on uprgading a computer at the moment and have a quick RAM question. The motherboard calls for a PC100 SDRAM module. I was wondering if a stick of PC133 would work in this system. The reason I ask is because I just recently got an old computer from a friend and salvaged a stick of PC133 with nothing wrong with it, and was wanting to use it if possible rather than buying a new one. The MB is AOpen AX63 Pro. Any help and/or suggestions would be most helpful.

Wuz up The_Shadow_630.

Sticking in that PC133 wont be a problem. But it will only run at PC100. Because I remeber a mate of mine had DDR400 in his 333 compatible mother board. And all it did was not run at its full capability.

Cool :tazz:

Thanks very much. I have checked on the format of it and it is not DDR. I don't even think they were using DDR as popularly when this computer was built. Thanks for all your help.

I installed the module and the computer is runnign faster, but when I look at the system discription through the control panel, it still shows that the computer only has 64MB instead of 320MB
