Hi daphne512 and welcome to the Geeks to Go Forums.

My name is Trevuren and I will be helping you with your log.

Download and run the following HijackThis autoinstall program from Here . Please choose the default location of C:\Program Files\ as the destination. HJT needs to be in its own folder so that the program itself isn't deleted by accident. Having the backups could be VITAL to restoring your system if something went wrong in the FIX process!
  • Run HijackThis
  • Click SCAN and SAVE LOG. (a notepad window will open with the log in it when you click Save Log) (Ctrl-A to'select all', Ctrl-C to 'copy')
  • POST the log into this thread using 'Add Reply' (Ctrl-V to 'paste')

DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES OR CLICK "FIX CHECKED" UNTIL WE CHECK THE LOG, AS MOST OF THE FILES ARE LEGIT AND VITAL TO THE FUNCTION OF YOUR COMPUTER

Regards,

Trevuren

Download Brute Force Uninstaller.
Unzip it to it’s own folder (c:\BFU)

RIGHT-CLICK HERE and choose "Save As" (in IE it's "Save Target As") in order to download EGDACCESS Remover. Save it in the folder you made earlier (c:\BFU)

Start the Brute Force Uninstaller by doubleclicking BFU.exe

In the scriptline to execute copy and paste c:\bfu\EGDACCESS.bfu
Press execute and let it do it’s job.

Wait for the complete script execution box to popup and press OK.
Press exit to terminate the BFU program.

Reboot your system

Post a fresh HJT log

This should all be done in one sitting:

A. Disable a2 Guard. It is also interfering with our fix. If you can't disable it, uninstall the program. But you should be able to disable it from within the program.

B.
  • Please RUN HijackThis.
. Click the SCAN button to produce a log.

  • Place a check mark beside each one of the following items:

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer,SearchURL = http://www.enterthesearch.com/sp2.php
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://www.enterthesearch.com/sp2.php

  • Now with all the items selected, and all windows closed except for HJT, delete them by clicking the FIX checked button. Close the HijackThis window.

C. Run Brute Force Uninstaller

D. Reboot your system.

E. Please download WebRoot SpySweeper from HERE (It's a 14-day trial):
  • Click Download Now to download the program.
  • Install it. Once the program is installed, it will open.
  • It will prompt you to update to the latest definitions, click Yes.
  • Once the definitions are installed, click Options on the left side.
  • Click the Sweep Options tab.
  • Under What to Sweep please put a check next to the following:
    • Sweep Memory
    • Sweep Registry
    • Sweep Cookies
    • Sweep All User Accounts
    • Enable Direct Disk Sweeping
    • Sweep Contents of Compressed Files
    • Sweep for Rootkits
    • Please UNCHECK Do not Sweep System Restore Folder.
  • Click Sweep Now on the left side.
  • Click the Start button.
  • When it's done scanning, click the Next button.
  • Make sure everything has a check next to it, then click the Next button.
  • It will remove all of the items found.
  • Click Session Log in the upper right corner, copy everything in that window.
  • Click the Summary tab and click Finish.
  • Paste the contents of the session log you copied into your next reply along with a fresh HJT log.

E. Please rerun Ewido and paste the rsults.

Regards,

Trevuren

Download and Save Blacklight to your desktop:
  • Double-click blbeta.exe
  • Accept the agreement and click NEXT.
  • In the following window, click SCAN
You'll see a list of all items found. There will also be a log on your desktop with the name fsbl.xxxxxxx.log (the xxxxxxx stand for numbers).

Copy and paste this log in your next reply. Do not proceed with step #2 or choose the rename option yet! I want to see the log first, because legitimate items can also be present there, such as "wbemtest.exe"
