Adobe Premiere Video Problem

It was working perfectly one day, then all of a sudden the video on the timeline and the preview window show black only and all the video is black only. Adobe premiere crashed and now all the AVI files I was using with no problem show black on the timeline and on the right monitor. When I open the video file in the monitor it is fine, it is when I put it on the timeline that it turns to black video and I cannot see anything but the black. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
