Hi,

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Have run thru all the forum requirements before posting - Picked up and removed alot of malware during that process but am having difficulty determining whether a few Hijackthis log entries are specifically Malware or not.

The ones i thought could potentially still be problematic but wasn't sure include:

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Sen] "C:\WINDOWS\system32\ICROSO~1\dllhost.exe" -vt ndrv

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [kuwo] C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\kuwo\kuwom.exe

O20 - Winlogon Notify: ShellCompatibility - C:\WINDOWS\system32\e6jmlg1116.dll

Could someone please advise specifically on whether these are potentially Malware, and generally on my log as well.

Cheers
Mick

btw OptusDSL is my ISP

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Appreciate it. But all appears to be well now (fingers crossed). It looks like the final infection was a variation of VX malware (the one where a guard.tmp file gets generated). I think i have managed to clear this. At the moment things looks ok.

Btw. this is a fantastic board - All of you guys giving up your free time to help step people thru resolutions to infections deserve a medal.

Have a good one,
Mick

Thanks Mick for letting me know. I will keep this thread open for a few days in case it rears it's ugly head again. Let's hope it doesn't. Thanks for the kind words.
