Hey there,

I recently got myself a new motherboard and a X1800XT along with a PSU. The drivers I've used so far are kind of raw. Omega's 6.3 detects my memory clock at 122 and doesn't detect my fan. ATi's 6.4 has some performance issues, but so does Omega's 6.3. I noticed that in BF2 my card performs much better in Ultra High video settings as opposed to High (weird). I'm going to install ATi's 6.4 and run 3DMark05 and see if I get any differences. Currently, my 3DMark05 score is 8,842. I've also had stuttering issues which is probably software related. The stuttering occured on my old X800XL AGP but I guess I tweaked a lot and it helped. For this Sapphire X1800XT I've ran out of ideas. I am yet to tweak the BIOS completely but I have no idea what to do since there are so many options. So I was wondering you fella's here know what I can maybe do in the BIOS, or in general driver settings that can narrow down the problems. Right now I'm mainly focusing on getting rid of the dumb stuttering. The stuttering mainly occurs when I enter certain parts of maps in games that I haven't before. After all that stuttering, everything is smooth. This stuttering mostly occurs in FEAR, and sometimes in BF2 (which it never has with my old setup). Any suggestions provided is greaty appreciated!

PS. My new system specs are in my signature.

Thanks,
Matt
