I cant get my old ((((like 10 years old)))) home movie DVDs to play on my computer.Ive tried to see what type of DVD it is but my parents put those create-dvd-labels on theDVD so I cant read anything on it.Since these are so old Im wondering if there is any program that will play it?

Here I am again :whistling:

Will these DVDs play in anything else?

Have you used your computer to play DVDs before? Can the computer play DVDs right now? (try a different DVD to test this)

(((((thank you for following me!!!!)))))))
whew.....Ok here we go......When I insert the home movie DVD a window pops up asking what I want windows to do
-Play w/media player
-open folder view files
-take no action
So I select "play w/media player" & media player appears. It show the title "vacation 1992" then the play list has 1 track in red w/a exclamation point next to it.The next track looks like its playing & I can hear it but I see nothing but the media player screen saver.
...........But when I insert my BRAND NEW King Kong DVD in & attempt to play the same window asking me what I want windows to do appears & I select "play w/media player" I get a pop up window from media player stating "windows media player cannot play DVD....."then it asks me to adjust my screen resolution & lower color quality. So it was on 32 bit ,I lowered it to 24 bit and reattempted to play the King Kong DVD.And had the same pop up window asking me to change the resolution & color quality
