System is running WIN98se. On one of the center computers, we have four USB ports. As different people use it, they plug in cameras, cards, etc using different ports. Each time, the computer is restarted, the drive letter assignments for the USB ports and the two cdroms change. Is there a way to assign letters to the cdroms and have them be permanent? Thank you

Hello Janis,

You can assign drive letter to your CD/DVD drives.

Right click my computer > click properties > click device manager > click the + sign next to CDROM > double click one of the drives > click settings > assign a start drive letter > click ok > click ok and then click yes to restart when prompted.

Make sure all USB devices are unplugged before doing this.
