Need help with router problems

Hi, thanks for reading.
My problem is i have 4 computers connected to a router. And all these 3 other people always download movies/music.. etc constantly. I never get below a 500ping unless i get a chance to restart their computer or pause their downloads while they are out. I have a DI-704UP Router and i need to know how to disconnect them off the internet through my computer because the router nor modem is in my room. Thanks.

is this your router? do you pay for the internet connection by yourself? or is all of this a shared expense between roommates? if this is a shared system then you need to speek with your roommates about this

well.. thing is they're like renters barely know them and cant do anything about it.. is there anything i can do?

so wait...these people rent space in your home correct? WHO"S router is it...WHO pays for the internet connection?
