As far as I know, two computers with no connection between them, such as a LAN, can't have the same IP address simultaneously. Your ISP has a certain range of IP addresses, from which you get one IP address that is available. On the other hand, when talking about LAN, two computers will have the same external IP, but within the LAN thay will have a uniqe internal IP address.

Every PC connected to the internet has a different IP address assigned to them by the ISP. Unless of course the PC's are on a network connecting through one connection then technically the intenet would see them using one IP address.

give those a read as they describe what zeus and comnir are talking about....
basically....any two computers on the same network (yes...when you conect to the internet...you have just joined the largest computer network on the planet...it works EXACTLY the same as a LAN or a company owned WAN...it's just public) cannot have the same IP address as an IP address is a UNIQUE system identifier...

An IP address is assigned by your ISP and it will be unique to you, so no it's not possible.
