I have an old version of EaseuUS Partition Master 12.5 that is missing (per a message I get) a file so can neither be opened, nor can it be repaired or removed the normal way. I tried both Program and Features/uninstall, and CCleaner/Tools/uninstall, with the same non-effect. I also looked in the Registry but didn't find anything obvious there and am not qualified to work in that area much anyway.

I would appreciate some direction for taking care of this problem.

Thanks

Have you tried reinstalling the program and then going through the correct uninstall procedure, if yes and no luck see the below, if no, give it a try.

Post an Autoruns log for us, see here

1: Extract the Autoruns Zip file contents to a folder.

2: Double-click the "Autoruns.exe".

3: Click on the "Hide Signed Microsoft and Windows Entries” option.

4: Go to File then to Export As or Save in some versions.

5: Save AutoRuns.txt file to known location like your Desktop > when you click on File > Save you will then get the option to Save as type, click the drop down tab, change it to Text and then click the Save button.

6: Attach to your next reply.

Yes, reinstalling did not work, as removing the old program couldn't happen.

When I ran "autoruns.exe", I didn't find that specific ["Hide Signed Microsoft and Windows Entries”] option; to the right of File, the Option box gives me a three boxes, the first and third already checked. I also checked the second box as shown by the following screenshot. I then saved that file as text, it being attached below the screenshot. Is that text actually readable by you, or has something not been done/worked correctly? I can try again if needed.

Your txt is all good and does list EaseUS, the many entries that I checked dated back to September 2017 but can I just make sure that you do not have any versions other than 12.5 installed, if not go to the Tutorial here and read up on how to delete any unwanted entries.
