None of the apps bundled with Vista work on XP (such as WMP11 [though it's been leaked crappily for XP], the DVD authoring software, the games, etc.)

while the wmp 11 is arguably a separate app, it is still in beta
the other programs mentioned are part of vista. I thought you meant 3rd party applications.
I do not know if you will be able to do it eventually or not, but trying to get part of a beta to work in an environment it is not intended for is a waste of your time. I'm sure that MS is making such an effort very difficult because if they do not, why would anyone buy vista?

I just found out about the M$-released XP beta of WMP11 today. The one I was using before was a leaked version and it was really slow

I guess there's not much of a reason to need an emulator for Vista apps though since 3rd party apps do everything they do anyway lol. I was mostl just curious
