For some reason my internet explore is messed up. when i click on a link it opens a new window and closes the old one. so I am not able to go back a page. it is getting on my nerves haveing to go back to the origanal site and work my way back to where i was to continue.. can anyone help??

had a problem like this and none of the solutions above solved it, but I was able to resolve the problem.
tools>internet options>programs>manage add-ons
now I found out what was causing my problem was Yahoo companion BHO and disabled it, anyone of the addons can cause the proble so you would have to do an elimination method on it.


If the above doesn't help, you can try to uninstall the Yahoo Toolbar, if you've it installed. Another option I would check is opening IE-->Tools-->Internet Options. In the 'Advanced' tab, under 'Browsing' search for 'Reuse windows for...' and uncheck the checkbox near it.

Thank you alot I went into the add on manager and disabled all the toolbars and now it works great again thank you very much!!! :whistling:
