hi, first timer here, so forgive me if i don't understand straight off

i received a virus via my msn messenger, and have the following symptoms....:

a: i can sign in freely, but after a period of time everybody on my online contacts list is presented with an open conversation box, which consequently becomes invisible and i cannot open another...nor communicate through the open one

b: this only happens to online contacts.

i ran an AVG virus scan and received the following descriptions of trojans found

i) Trojan horse Downloader.Istbar.NN
ii) Trojan horse PSW.Generic.RVI
iii) Trojan horse Backdoor.Generic2.LES

basically i'm wondering if anybody knows how i can fix these problems, a friend believes it may be a registry problem.....any help would be appreciated
