Please bear with me as I try and explain - I am an idiot when it comes to this

I have a home network with two computers. The main computer is working fine, internet connection etc. Recently, I noticed that when on the second computer I was getting the message that there was limited or no connection, but if I just waited a bit, I could get on to the internet. Last night however, I could not get onto the internet. When I checked my network connection, I saw that my IP address was 0.0.0.0.
This has happened in the past, and for the life of me I can't remember what I did to fix it.

Can you let me know what information you need from me in order to help me?

Thanks

on the second computer (one with the zeroes) do
start > run > cmd > ipconfig /all
then
start > run > cmd > ipconfig /release
then
start > run > cmd > ipconfig /renew

post back wtiith the results of both the first ipconfig /all and the results of the ipconfig /renew

Well, I unplugged my router this morning and this seemed to do the trick!

Still not sure what happened in the first place, but I do have an IP address now.

Thanks anyway.
