
reinstalling windows 98 don't know drivers

Go to this webpage and in the filters pick Windows 98 and Driver. Click on Apply Filter. You will get three downloads, one for the display, one for the modem, and one for the sound card. Download those and save them in a safe location, like to a CD.
If after you install those drivers you still have either yellow ? or ! in the device manager list, let me know and I can help you find the rest.

Click on the link below & select your laptop model etc (I selected the Satellite-> 16xx->1670->win98se option). This will give you a list of available downloads. You will need the following ones:
display, modem & sound.

The other downloads (quickfix) are basically fixes or patches. If you click on the red arrow symbol to the right of each, it will tell you exactly which iissues they fix. You won't necessarily need these but bear them in mind in case you experience any of the problems described.
