LG cd rewriter model ced 8080b gives error 4261

I have been using this burner for about 6 months and now it gives me error 4261 itunes or Windows Media player 11
LG says that model does not work with XP home,but it has in the past.
Pentium 3 933 with 256 mem
20 gig HDD
XP Home
AVG antivirus free version
Zone Lab free version. :whistling:
